The Solar panel's on the top of this side view peice absorbed energy from the sun to power the rechargeable cells.

Many different case designs for this super cool watch. Also came in Stainless steel / Gold-fill / 14K Solid gold case / and Black case as shown.

Unfortunately finding a Synchronar from the 70's that will hold a charge will be a difficult task. Many have been opened and fixed to take new cells.
